The ARC Show 2009 takes place at Londons Earls Court Two from 4-5 February 2009. The Show is where the lighting industry gather every February to source products, find new suppliers, keep up to date with the latest product launches and lighting ideas and catch up with contacts within the industry.
The IALD Enlighten Europe Conference will once again return for 2009, keeping visitors up-to-date with the latest lighting industry trends. Speakers for this year include LED Government advisor Geoff Archenhold, Lee Prince of Light & Design Associates and Howard M. Brandston, author of the critically acclaimed Learning to See, A Matter of Light, who will be sharing 50 years of lighting design experience with his 'Lighting Design is an Art' seminar. Thomas Schielke of tsarc, will also present a seminar based around the use of lighting in embracing customers with the core brand values of product and experience. Louis Clair will be giving a futuristic presentation on 'Light Cibles - reflections about the future of urban lighting' and David Bird of Lincolne Scott will be presenting a seminar on 'Exciting v Sustainable Office Lighting'.
A new feature for the 2009 show is The Architect's Workshops. Part of the IALD Conference, these workshops are a series of detailed, in-depth workshops designed specifically for Architects. They will focus on analysing the most significant major lighting projects of the year and be held in an open plan theatre on the main show floor. One of the key topics under discussion will be Terminal Five, with Mark Major, of Speirs Major presenting a detailed overview of the challenges involved in this project and how they were overcome.
