Lecture by Alejandro Zaera-Polo of Foreign Office Architects

The Berlage Institute winter 2008 lecture series, entitled “Forms and Figures: Exploring Architectural Language”, brings together architects, urbanists, designers, and scholars to present languages, thoughts, and representations that contribute to the historical and contemporary principles of architecture culture.

Alejandro Zaera-Polo’s lecture “Towards a General Theory of the Building Envelope” at 7pm, November 25th, at the Berlage Institute in Rotterdam hypothesizes that every dimensional component of a building envelope can trigger specific technological, social, and political effects.
