The GPD is the world's largest conference on architectural, solar and automotive glass. Organised jointly every two years by some 200 business partners and coordinated by the Glaston Group, it has become the meeting point of the international glass industry's decision makers, i.e. – machine manufacturers, glass processors, material suppliers, architects, structural engineers, facade builders, furnishing experts and experts in solar glass technology.

In 2009, GPD will be held in June 12-15, in Tampere, Finland. The conference will include some 300 presentations with around 1000 specialists as attendees. The conference program introduces a unique ‘Architect Forum' designed to bring together architects and structural engineers with experts from the industries named above. The objective is to provide an opportunity to discuss about new solutions and procedures in the use of glass as a construction material.
