New York: Lecture by Craig Dykers of Snøhetta

On Tuesday, October 28th at 7pm, Craig Dykers, the co-founder of the architecture and design firm Snøhetta is holding a lecture on their current works in The Great Hall, the Cooper Union in New York.

In 2004 the Norwegian company established a New York office - the same year it was awarded the commission for the National September 11 Memorial Museum and Pavilion at the World Trade Centre. The international practice emphasizes site-specific and environmentally responsible design solutions that “enhance...qualities of place and create diverse and rich architectural experiences.” Recent and current work includes the Lillehammer Winter Olympics Art Museum, Norway; Norwegian Embassy, Berlin; Norwegian National Opera, Oslo; and the Wolfe Centre for the Arts, Bowling Green State University, Ohio.

This lecture is organized by the Architectural League of New York and co-sponsored by the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture of the Cooper Union.
