ROOF + TIMBER International
The trade show ROOF + TIMBER International in Cologne, Germany, will be presenting products and services for the entire building from the 24th until 27.2.2010. The host of the trade show, GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, is concentrating this year’s show on the core topic of “internationalisation” and “energy efficiency” stated Deter Dohr from the top management of GHM.

With 70,000 m² display area, roofers, carpenters, building plumbers, planners, architects and engineers get the latest news from across the industry. The trade show is rounded off with a supporting programme and special events: information on rooftop cultivation, live workshops, a wooden building day or the German Day of roofers. A sort of dress rehearsal is awaiting the panel-beaters from Schweinfurt, Germany at the ROOF + TIMBER International in Cologne, Germany. In Hall 9 the students will show what they are made of in a special show at a live workshop. The tools come from exhibitors and is used at the same time as a test drive.

Three different themed areas have been given to the students from Lower Franconia. First, restoration: historical facades are recreated in several 1:1 mock-ups. You can see some influences of Dresden’s Zwinger in the creations. In a second area, you will be able to see the panel-beaters cover an onion tower during the trade show. In a third part of the special show, ex-students will present their own masterpieces.
