Venice Biennale 2008

Venice Biennale 2008 - British Pavillion
From Sunday 14 September to Sunday 23 November 2008, the 11th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale will showcase some of the most exciting architecture from around the world.

Entitled ‚Out there: Architcture beyond Building’, the premise for the 2008 Biennale, which is presided over by Paolo Baratta and curated by Director Aaron Betsky, is that ‚architecture is not building...it is something else. More generally, architecture is a way of representing, shaping and perhaps even offering critical alternatives to the human-made environment. In fact, buildings are not enough,’ states Betsky.
