The 12th International Architecture Exhibition, with the title of "People meet in architecture", directed by Kazuyo Sejima and organized by la Biennale di Venezia will be open to the public from Sunday 29th August to Sunday 21st November 2010 in the Giardini, Arsenale and in various locations throughout Venice.

From January 31 to April 13 the Royal Academy of Arts in London will be showcasing an exhibition celebrating the quincentenary of Andrea Palladio (1508-1580). Large scale models, computer animations, original drawings, books and paintings will present the full range of his work.

Zaha Hadid has created a series of sculptural installations for a two-venue New York exhibition, opening on November 1st 2008. According to Kenny Schachter, the curator of the show, each installation offers elements of various architectural projects Hadid has been working on. On July the 22th the touring exhibition of the Japan Foundation and the Architectural Institute of Japan was opened at Obersten Baubehörde in Munich.

The work of Architect John Lautner will be on view at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles from July 13 through October 12, 2008. This is the first major exhibition on the visionary modernist, and an international tour will follow the LA exhibition.

A new exhibition entitled “Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling“ will be at the MoMA, NY from July 20th through October 20th, 2008. It examines the historical and contemporary significance of factory-produced prefabricated architectures to date.

Projects by Estudio Teddy Cruz, a San Diego-based architecture firm will be on display from July 10 through October 25 in an exhibition entitled Practice of Encroachment: From the Global Border to the Broder Neighbourhood, presented at the PARC Foundation Gallery, New York.

Cecil Balmond has been a structural engineer with Arup for 41 years. His thinking and working methods are however often very different from those practised by “normal” structural engineers. Perhaps this is attributable to his international past involving Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Great Britain. A record of direct as well as certainly inspiring cooperation with remarkable personalities such as Ove Arup, James Stirling and Rem Koolhaas is however also very likely to have increased his sensitivity and horizon with regard to design. A current exhibition at the Lousiana Museum of Modern Art provides a fundamental insight into the world of Cecil Balmond.
