Built for a number of the largest banks in the region, the complex consists of a strip 250 m long with four cylindrical towers of different sizes that echo the historical towers of the town. All façades are clad with terracotta tiles. Between the elongated strip and the towers is a public open space, over which a horizontal glass roof is spanned. It is suspended from a cable network with mirror-image trussing on the underside to prevent the roof from lifting. The laminated safety-glass panels have a printed surface and were cut in 264 different sizes. The panels are also splay cut at the corners and fixed to the cable network with special connecting pieces at their points of intersection. The system obviates the need to bore the glass or insert expansion joints.
