Situated on the edge of a verdant site with a fine stock of old trees, this elongated house consists of a two-storey main building and a single-storey wing. The two parts are linked by a glazed intermediate tract. The choice of a steel skeleton frame structure allowed a flexible layout that results in flowing spatial transitions and facilitates changes within the living areas. The ground floor sanitary core, the gallery wall and the floors serve as bracing elements. The south face is extensively glazed. Alternating with the areas of fenestration are closed larch façade elements. The roof projection at the eaves, the balcony areas and the climbing plants all serve to shade the internal spaces against excessive insolation in summer.
