The development aid project "School Construction Units for Gando" in West African Burkina Faso seeks to further the innovative use of traditional earth building techniques. Following the completion of a school in 2001, a group of houses is now being erected for teachers. It is hoped that this may serve as a pilot scheme for the entire country.
