Courtyards open to the sky form the unifying theme of this reinterpretation of the traditional shopping arcade. The compact interior of the street block is opened up by a network of routes that link a sequence of internal courts of different spatial quality. Pedestrians move through a calm shopping zone, the urbanity of which is heightened by cafés, recreational spaces, galleries and other cultural facilities.
