Perspective

Located in an elegant area of the city, this shop for bathroom accessories is not easy tofind. To distinguish it from other premises inthe same arcade, the shop undergoes a three-phase lighting change in the course ofthe day: from a serene, white morning mood through delicate pink to bright red in the evening. These effects are achieved with a modular system of translucent polycarbonate sheeting fixed in front of aluminium cladding. Coloured fluorescent tubes in the intermediate space are operated by a time switch that combines the whites and reds in different ways. The rear-lighted panels indicate the “public” areas of the shop. Storage and changing spaces are screened by partitions.
