Hospital Church in Wilhelmsdorf

The rehabilitation clinic in Wilhelmsdorf for addicted patients is a charitable institution supported by the Zieglerische Anstalten. The simple volume of the church is carefully integrated in the orthogonal form of the existing hospital complex. A narrow roof structure links the church with the older building. The prayer space was designed to provide a maximum of 120 people with a peaceful place for concentration and worship. Transparency, light and a layered form of construction are the leitmotifs of the design. The wood ceiling and the upper wall strip fit like a protective cap over the internal space.
