Training Centre in Unterschleissheim

documentation    p. 325 - 329
Architect Ackermann und Partner | Structural Engineer Ackermann, Christoph |

In front of the entrance facade of the training centre is a long row of full-height, pivoting sunshading louvres with silvery, curved surfaces. These may be seen as a reference to the products manufactured by the user of this building: the BMW automobile concern. The three-bay complex, with a steel load-bearing structure, covers an area 155.5 x 55.5 metres in extent and is enclosed by transparent post-and-rail facades.
