The new Law Faculty library in the University of Zurich is supported by steel columns and erected within an existing courtyard of a building constructed in 1908. Elliptical galleries accommodating reading spaces encircle the atrium space of the library which extends upward through six levels and is covered by a glass dome measuring 712 m².
