In order to provide additional living space in this 1950s house in the most popular residential area of Stuttgart, the original hip roof of has been removed and replaced with a generously glazed roof storey with terraces and 360° views. The selected materials, predominantly half-finished industrial products, are light weight and apply a minimum of additional loads to the original built structure.
