Luxury Dwellings in Zurich

documentation    p. 1282 - 1285
Architect agps architecture | Structural Engineer APT, Atelier für Planung und Tragwerk |

Set among grand old villas, this block of luxury dwellings catches the eye from afar with its silvery gleaming facade. When one sees the shimmering steel "curtains", it's certainly not the metal conveyor-belt strips in mass-production bakeries – the original use – that comes to mind. With its three-layer variable facade, the building has a constantly changing appearance, ranging from an open, completely transparent, glazed dwelling block to an introspective, self-contained volume.
