Located near the centre of Wintherthur, these four blocks of dwellings mediate between the extremes of the heterogeneous surroundings. The layout of the flats allows the ingress of sunlight and affords residents views out to the peaceful adjoining park. The strict facade design is alleviated by coloured aluminium sliding elements, and the loggias behind them form an extension of the internal space.
The single-storey dwellings (43 rented and
23 freehold units) range in size from 2½- to 6½-rooms. Ample circulation areas provide additional storage space. The bedrooms and bathrooms, laid out with their own ante-room, form a distinct realm. The flats are distinguished by their simple, modern finishings.
