All three facades of this new triangular structure are different. The north-facing, two-storey entrance front is fitted with low-E glazing. Sunscreen glazing to the east face and an internal anti-glare screen prevent overheating. The facade overlooking the neighbouring site to the south-west consists of a closed timber-stud wall with a clerestory strip. Internally, this wall forms a neutral background for shelving and the display of products. The most striking design feature, though, is the timber roof: an economical structure, consisting of 45 prismatic elements. This is supported by an 8.50 x 8.50 m grid of circular columns with rainwater pipes internally. Bracing is provided by the solid walls of the sanitary tract.
