This simple, yet distinctive factory building houses production facilities and a cafeteria at ground-floor level and offices and an apartment for the managing director above.
A tight budget and schedule prompted the choice of a prefabricated panel system incorporating anthracite-coloured precast concrete. Three different modules were used, variously combined to suit the functional requirements of the different building parts. Rounded corners and window openings and solar shading in red and orange add interest to the punctuated facade. Inside, coloured units and full-height doors deliberately contrast with the rough look of the precast concrete floors and exposed cable ducts.
