Erected on a factory building dating from the 1950s, the new two-storey volume contains nine maisonette-type dwellings. Since an upward extension was initially foreseen for the industrial development, the structure is able to bear the additional load. The housing is reached via an existing staircase and an access gallery. The new glazed facade is articulated by balconies and external stairs. In each dwelling, the kitchen and bathrooms are housed in a central glazed box. The simple materials used are reminiscent of old industrial buildings. In contrast, timber beams and wooden finishings to the galleries create a warm domestic atmosphere. From the roof, there are views to the surrounding vineyards.
