Double-curved facades and roofs are a ubiquitous formal phenomenon of contemporary architecture. The strategy of constructional implementation plays a key role in this. The material wood is referred to primarily for its durability and lightweight construction and is barely mentioned in discussions on the implementation of curved forms. However, a closer analysis of the requirements for production, reveal that, up to this point, wood has a rarely discussed potential.
