After the catastrophic floods in Central Europe this summer, architects and building owners are now faced with the problem of how best to repair the damage and how to prevent it happening again in the future. In response to these recent events, DETAIL has decided in this month’s issue on “Balconies, Oriels”, to turn the Technology section into a 24-page special (starting on page 1424) on the repair and prevention of flood damage to buildings.
