Sound-absorbing Floor
The Cooperative Regional Control Centre West in Elmshorn is the joint control centre for the fire-brigade, rescue, patient-transport and disaster-control services of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. For the control-centre rooms, Trapez Architektur chose spherical yarn from Fabromont in Atlas silberpappel and Creation al Ba-salt in the form of modules. The floor absorbs room and structure-borne sound and dampens the noise of rolling furniture.
