Sports centre in Caracas (VE), Urban-Think Tank 2004. With the ‘Vertical Gym Chacao’, Urban-Think Tank invented a new type of multifunctional sports and recreational centre for the densely built slums of the Venezuelan capital. The building is based on a flexible kit of parts and a steel skeleton that can be flexibly adapted to the site conditions and desired mix of uses. In the meantime, three further vertical sports halls have been built in other parts of the country.
