An Fonteyne was born in 1971 in Ostend (Belgium) and graduated from Ghent University in 1994. She worked at DKV architecten in Rotterdam and David Chipperfield Architects in London before establishing noAarchitecten with Jitse van den Berg and Philippe Viérin in 1999. An Fonteyne currently teaches at ETH Zurich and is a jury member of the Detail Award 2024.
