Opened in 2016, UCL's Sainsbury Wellcome Centre brings together neuroscientists to research brain circuits. The award-winning seven-storey building by Ian Ritchie Architects houses state-of-the-art laboratories, cost around €90 million and offers 14,000 m² of floor space. A striking feature is the curved, translucent LINIT EcoGlass façade, which saves energy, provides diffused light and glows white in the evening. The building received a BREEAM rating of ‘excellent’.
