
Achim Menges studied architecture at the TU Darmstadt and the Architectural Association in London. Since 2008 he has been a professor at the University of Stuttgart and is currently the spokesperson for the Cluster of Excellence Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Transformative Architecture (IntCDC) there. In 2023, he became the first architect to receive the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation, endowed with € 2.5 million.
