Magazine: Plus-energy house in Steinbach
With a pitched roof, white stucco façade, and a garage built on the north, this house near Frankfurt (almost) fits the image that one typically associates with new German residential developments. The interior offers 255 m² of floor space across three floors to the four residents. A PV array covers the entire south side of the roof. The house is a timber frame construction built as a passive house in which no steel load-bearing elements or other steel construction was used.
