Object+Product: VIP Lounge at Munich Airport
Since summer 2011, VIP passengers at Munich Airport have benefited from early check-in or a longer layover before connecting flights. The newly designed "VIP Wing" lounge in the south wing of Terminal 1 offers not only the usual high level of comfort and excellent service, but also an architecturally sophisticated interior design perfectly suited to the unique atmosphere of the location. With its flowing, canyon-like sequence of spaces and a skillful mix of furnishings, Munich-based architect Erich Gassmann and interior designer Tina Aßmann have created an ambiance that cleverly blends contemporary international standards with Bavarian local colour.
