Lamprechtshausen is a railway terminal about 25 km north of Salzburg. The present structure was commissioned because the former station offered no protection against the weather and the train depot was too small. The new exposed concrete hall, with two tracks and a central platform, is 105 × 14.5 m on plan and accessible from both ends. The main entrance is oriented to the town centre; the second line of access is from a new car and bicycle parking area. A low-height ancillary structure, housing staff rooms, WCs and other facilities, was also incorporated.
