The unique characteristic of this site is its northern slope. The building responds to this situation with its complex geometry: it follows the slope, yet still permits harmonious integration into the villa community in this high-end residential neighbourhood in Munich. The entrance can be accessed via an open flight of stairs. Behind it, a two-story staircase unfolds. Ancillary functions, such as guest rooms and wellness areas, are located on this level. The upper living level can be accessed by ascending the stairs. With its L-shaped floor plan, it opens almost entirely towards the garden in the south-west. The bedrooms are situated on the topmost level. Their loggias and the roof terrace are also oriented towards the garden. The exterior visual appearance of the building is characterised by the sensual, rough surface of the natural stone wall made of granite. The interior, on the other hand, is en-livened by a multitude of relations to the exterior and precisely set window openings that – in part as glazed corners – direct light into the interior in a targeted way.
