Housing Development in Lauterach-Unterfeld, Austria
The development is located on a park-like site between a railway line and an area of single-family housing. Laid out in the form of five three-storey blocks that follow the line of the railway, the new development creates a clear urban edge and lends a new definition to the random surrounding settlement pattern. At the same time, the orientation of the blocks allows views through from one side to the other. The flat roofs are cantilevered out at the edges to reduce the weathering of the facades.
