The client required an intense use of the site. The building is, nevertheless, carefully articulated and represents an upgrading of the urban fabric. The street face turns the corner in a gentle curve. A bold masonry spine divides the building in its form and function into two parts, and the tall main circulation core forms a second structuring element. The façades are distinguished by different sun-screening systems, a stepped back section along the street face and the innovative use of materials. A composite cladding system of 9 mm polished granite from the Onsermone Valley on aluminium honeycomb elements was used.
