House in the Canton of Waadt
With its simple, clear lines, the house represents a calm pole in the heterogeneous surrounding development. Using prefabricated structural timber elements, the superstructure was erected over the concrete basement in a very short time. Externally, the house is distinguished by untreated cedar cladding panels, and horizontal timber screening louvres on the south face. At the west end, the basement wall is drawn up high above ground level to support the internal staircase.
