Telecommunications Centre in Ecublens, Lausanne
Situated between the ETH and the university, this new complex creates a bold urban landmark. It is organized about a central, vertical concrete circulation core, which also serves to stabilize the metal aerial tower. This central core is flanked by two structures of different design. To the east is a tract containing administration areas and a ground floor cafeteria, with conference spaces on the roof. The western structure accommodates the technical installation, including a radio-communications centre and an experimental space for the technical university.
