Day Nursery in Ingolstadt
The kindergarten comprises an ensemble of four independent structures grouped about a courtyard, which, on sunny days, functions as an additional open-air "room". Three of the structures are oriented to the south and the garden and provide space for 25 children each. The fourth building houses a community hall, multi-purpose space and the office of the principal. The individual units are linked by a covered walkway around the courtyard. Broad timber verandas sheltered by the projecting roofs create a link between the group rooms and the garden.
