Bus-Stop Shelters in Dornbirn
The design of this bus-stop ensemble in Dornbirn was based on a competition entry. The standard situation is a traffic island in the middle of the road with access for buses on both sides. The simultaneous arrival of buses every half hour facilitates convenient changing and connections in all directions. The structure of the roof, laid out in the form of the skeleton of a fish, is supported by pairs of steel columns from which beams are cantilevered out on both sides.
