Nursing Home in Zurich
The site was divided in the middle, forming two almost identical triangular areas, one of which was used to create a park, the other to accommodate the six-storey nursing home. The long northern face of the structure is articulated in a boldly plastic manner and turns its back on the railway line. The two shorter faces with balconies are open and transparent. The central element is the tall open courtyard/light well that links all floors and allows natural light to enter the heart of the building.
