Office Building in Nordkirchen

The three office tracts are linked by two-storey glazed halls containing entrance and reception areas and a cafeteria. These different functions are reflected in the materials used: the exposed reinforced concrete construction of the office blocks is contrasted with the slender, transparent steel construction of the halls. The lightweight roof, with trapezoidal-section ribbed soffit sheeting fixed to stressed, trussed beams, is supported by socketed columns. The fine lines of the hall roofs at the edges evoke a weightless, hovering quality.
