The structure consists of a steel skeleton frame and steel decking with infill gable walls in London stock bricks. The street face is closed by a relatively robust glass block wall. The rear face of the house, sweeping down at an angle of 50°, consists of a lighter, more fragile skin of glass. The frameless glazing to this south façade is supported by an aluminium spine beam. Frameless opening vents and sliding glass doors are incorporated into the glazing system. In addition to the shading provided by two large trees, fabric blinds were installed 40 cm inside the skin of glazing to the south face.
