House in Delft

The semi-detached houses have a steel structure with prefabricated internal elements and external cladding panels. The individual dwelling units consist of a single volume with a full-height services core. This is set on the diagonal and thus largely defines the internal spaces. The core contains the kitchen, toilets and baths, as well as short service runs and fittings. The fully-glazed south-east and south-west corners afford open views from all rooms. Four-feet-high glazed sliding doors at these corners on the ground floor enable the living space to be extended outwards. The concrete ground floor slab is supported by concrete piles.
