Housing Development in Sulzbach-Rosenberg
This housing development forms part of the model programme "Rented Accommodation in Timber Construction Systems", sponsored by the central planning office of the state of Bavaria. The aim of this programme is to develop flexible housing types that can be adapted to the needs of various sites, that can be produced in large numbers, and that allow a high degree of prefabrication. The upper cast limit is approximately 20 per cent below current cost levels. One distinctive feature of the site was the large stock of alder and willow trees. All flats profit from the green open space created in the new development and the preservation of a maximum number of trees.
