Bank Headquarters in Luxemburg
Since there was little scope for design in the spaces between the buildings in this street block, attention was devoted to the internal areas of the structure. The external shape follows the building lines laid down in the development plan. A U-shaped building was designed, open at one end to the main road, and at the same time enclosing a large glazed hall and an internal courtyard of roughly equal size. Working areas are oriented outwards to the neighbouring buildings and to the street at the rear, and inwards to the courtyard. The broad, glazed entrance façade allows a clear view into the interior.
