The office was designed for a computer software company and is situated on the 53rd and 54th floors of a 1930s high-rise block in midtown Manhattan. The space affords spectacular views of the city to all points of the compass. The panorama is not only a visual reminder of the company's field of work - the financial community of New York; it also provided the inspiration for the design. One aim of the planning was to retain the immediacy of these views. The layout is therefore based on a continuous circulation route around the perimeter, with office functions located in the interior to avoid solar glare in a computer environment.
