Administration Building near Munich

The entrance and foyer on the central axis lead into a 50-metre-long hall, which provides access to the four lateral office tracts and the other main service areas of the building. The entrance situation is defined by the pitched, glass hall roof, which is cantilevered out at the front, and by a projecting horizontal canopy over the cubic access lobby. The roof beams are supported by tubular steel columns with flexible bearings at the top. At the node connections of the trussing bars, the flow of forces in the construction is indicated through the different coloration and surface treatment of the tension and compression zones.
