Plant and Machinery Building for a Sewage Works in Hannover
The brief was to provide a building to house plant and machinery for part of a local sewage works. The preprocessing steps to be performed here comprised separating the solid material off by means of a series of grilles and transporting it to a press via a conveyor belt. From there it is placed in containers for removal from the site. The remaining material passes through a ventilated sand bed to remove mineral deposits, the sand is pumped, sorted and likewise transported away. Sunken walls separate and contain the sludge for further processing.
