Warehouse in Putzbrunn
A new high bay warehouse, canteen and seminar rooms were added to existing factory premises. The reinforced concrete supporting structure consists of a flat plate floor and flared head columns. Separate steel columns support the roof of cored steel girders, trapezoid sheet and insulation. All façades are galvanized steel post and beam construction, with either aluminium panelling or insulated glazing. The 18° sloping façade, on a 62.5 cm grid, has longitudinal trussed girders which bear on the steel columns: the effect is 10 halve the span of the façade posts. Steel 'collars' welded to the steel uprights seal the façade connections.
