The long low community centre building is situated parallel to the tree-lined avenue leading to the church. Its grey titanium zinc sheet cladding on roof and walls complements the church's brickwork. The glazed southern wall together with a strip of windows high on the north façade ensure maximum light inside. Moveable partition walls give flexibility of space. The reinforced concrete basement and ground floor support a timber construction of columns, post and beam walls and shed roof frame. The roof rests on rafter-supporting purlins.
