In planning the hall, special attention was given to integrating the building into the surrounding country environment - through the use of wood as a construction material, and roof tiles in the local style. The colour, however, deliberately sets it apart as a community rather than agricultural building. The hall is supported on posts bored into the rather difficult subgrade, and the floor of the hall is a self-supporting structure of reinforced concrete on a drained gravel filter layer.
